***Update in parts request*** I've got a like new black powdercoated Canton Oil Pan with a Melling HV pump that I will not be needing because my new motor already has one. I am looking to trade it for a good used 58mm throttle body. If anyone is interested please send me a pm.

Also looking to see if anyone knows where I can take my injectors to in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago to have them flow matched. I had a number for a place in Lake Zurich but I can't find it anymore.

Thanks

Jason I don't know how worth it it is to do that. Not sure you're getting your money's worth. Why do you want to do it?

I'd like to do it for piece of mind because I bought them used and I'd like them to all be the same so I don't have to worry about which one goes where

I think Midwest Fuel Injection, in Palatine can do it. But if it's not really a big deal to have them flow matched, I might just put them in and see how it goes.

I also have the solid roller cam up for sale that was in my shortblock, 0 miles and it's perfect for a blower/turbo setup https://ls1tech.com/forums/parts-cla...wer-turbo.html

I'll do a trade for a 58mm throttle body plus some cash if its a good piece.

I found the shop!! It's called Casper Electronics in Lake Zurich, $10/injector for flow matching.

Anywho, did a little work on the car today, put in the trans am dash minus the gauge cluster n bezel. Also installed the drivers seat and driver trans am door panel which lemme tell you was a BITCH!!!!!

Picked up my injectors today from Casper Electronics. $80 for flow matching and they said they were really clean and all flow within 1%. I also just ordered the DIY harness from eficonnections so that should be here next week. After that I will have to wait till I got the money to buy the conversion kit.

Now I have a question. I'm having my trans converted so that the swap will work and the motor was built for a 97 ws6. I ordered the DIY kit for the 94-95 cuz my car is a 94. I want to make sure that everything will work. If I need to I can go to Casper and get different trans connectors but I want to be sure I'm getting the right things. Any help is appreciated with this

Yea I got it. Thanks. Unfortunately the computer was not in the truck and I was not prepared for the swampy junkyard. I may go look again through some astro vans and other trucks.

My main question was if I take the harness from the truck could I take wires from that instead of buying the DIY harness but I figured I would just get the efi DIY harness so that way I know everything should be there.

Now do you think I will have an issue with the transmission connectors or should the 94 connectors plug right in to the 97 ones?

Another question... With the fuel pressure gauge sending unit, are you supposed to remove that thing inside the schrader valve? Similar to what you find in a valve stem on a tire. If not I'm f*cked

I don't know about the auto trans, I think they plug in direct, but worth checking the wiring schematic to make sure they did not change.

Another update... Thanks to the best gf/sponsor in the world I was able to drop my motor off to Clayton Racing today. Having them disassemble everything, clean it, check everything and install new CP pistons. Since I'm in no rush at all he told me if it's not done by the time I leave for AZ that he would ship it for me.

I also got a great deal from h_freids on some Ls lifters so that's one less thing I need. I'm working on getting some coils n brackets for the 24x conversion. Has anyone come up with a good spot to mount the coils besides on the valvecovers?

Looking good...one day we will have to wetsand and buff that! Nice to see color on it...my finger still has a rattle can **** indent on it! I swear we are getting a gun and compressor next time!

^^ Well Mike since I didn't get that job in AZ it looks like we may be able to invest in a compressor!!!

Just another update: I contacted LE and he spec'd me a cam for the 355. It came in the mail yesterday...

oh how I love some shiny parts!

I've also got a set of stock heads at GRE Racing (Lakemoor,IL) right now having a custom port 5-axis cnc port job being done. Those heads should flow over 300 cfm when all is done.

Motor is still at Clayton Racing, I will be taking the cam over there for install and everything should be buttoned up on the shortblock.

Once that is all taken care of, then hopefully I can get the efi conversion kit for Christmas!! The ultimate goal for this car is to have it running by mid-late summer time hopefully done for the next shootout.

Also got a SUPER deal from a member here on a set of truck coils with the harnesses and brackets along with the 411 PCM. If anyone is looking I believe he has 1 or 2 more sets, pm me for his info.

Ok I have some questions that I'm hoping to have answered...

1. Is it safe to run the car without o2's? I thought I heard that it's ok if it is tuned in "open-loop" and doesn't have to pass emissions

2. Also, does anyone have a picture of an aftermarket fuel pressure sending unit installed on the back of their intake? I'm trying to get an idea if I need any fittings, which ones to get.

3. What are the sizes of the bolts that hold down the center console? I've got 2 big holes so I need to know the size and I have to get some massive washers.

Bringing this back from the dead!!! Unfortunately not a whole lot has been happening with the car I ended up moving to AZ and during shipping the car got f*cked so I having it painted correctly but doing it in pieces as I can afford.

Some pics

As it gets done ill keep up with the pics. The shortblock is paid off just waiting for it to be put together. Got a deals on some heads that are being checked out.

But I am back looking for some more things that I'm hoping will find me some deals.

I'm looking for a newer stock fuel pump as well as some 30lb injectors as the 42lb ones I have are supposedly overkill.
