I dont know why but there are always a dick in a crowd. This is a great new product regardless of what some may think. This could be had even cheaper if you use your own cap and rotor kit which would prob save about 150 give or take which is what they are going for new on summit. All different possibilties how you want to buy it but if your figure a new ebay delco opti is roughly 250-300us and still a guess as to how long it will last and when it dies to time down plus the cost of labour and or another new opti is a no brainer why anyone on this site wouldnt buy one of these kits Wicked is making for us. Props to you Wicked for helping out the LT1 crowd! We want some updates as you put it to use and see how it works out

This is all beyond me, but I'm interested to see if it works.

Maybe I'm missing something here. Show me the amazing thing that this system is capable of that isn't already available and priced for different budgets? I'm not patting your back, I'm looking for clarification.

Oh and nuthuggers be quiet.

If you have an understanding of what the 24x components do, you would quickly disregard this statement and point to some other cause for lower numbers.

24x waveform from the crank, 1x waveform from the cam, and the LS1 PCM fires injectors and coils. Now if the crank waveform is bad, a trouble code will set and the ignition system will clearly show it...and you don't have to pull high rpms to detect a bad waveform from the crank; it will be obvious at idle if the 24x waveform is wrong.

If any 24x LT1 is making lower numbers than with the optispark and LT1 PCM, then there is most definitely something else wrong.

There is absolutely no reason a 24x system would make less power than the older/slower LT1 ECM. Incorrect install or a shitty tune is to blame, not the system itself.

I highly interested as I'm running an XFI already and really sick of the opti. Sequential would be nice for a change.

The middle wheel is the cam sync that will go inside the opti for sequential. That one is set up for DFI (45* BTDC), if you let me know when you need the pulse (IIRC it's 75 degrees BTDC for XFI) then I can easily make an XFI version.

Like I already stated, this will be the first system to completely delete the optical sensor and retain the LTx PCM. If you didn't see the other thread I've been working on some upgrades inside the LTx PCM that will raise the RPM capability. Assuming I'm successful there, the cost would be in the $800 range for both the upgraded PCM and crank/cam triggers.

Sounds good as my 1K mile opti just took a dump w/out warning. 6* BTDC. Thanks.

Nah I missed that thread, I'll go check it out. Will your modded PCM only work with this setup?

why not shove a vortec dist. in it since you have XFI? I have a factory GM one with exrta cap and rotors for sale as well as a Accel billet one for sale. if you are serious lmk. i too run XFI, and this eliminated any more b.s. with the opti.

the r&d on this is great! although i am well beyond the need for something like this. i went back to an opti style distributor, lol!! well it is mounted on the front of the motor

WOW.....now I know why I haven't seen a bump on the "give me an idea" thread. LOL I had totally missed this one.

I already said it, but you can definately count me in for one of your first units. Probably 2 if I have my gf's car built by the time you start selling these. Her's looks like yours....same color....minus the killer stance and wheels.....think of it as your car's ugly twin. LOL
