What emissions stuff can i remove and not worry about if I can pass?
I've done some stuff. But I would like to do more. We all would. My car aside from a few upgrades in the bolt on dept is still stock. So what can I get away with and not worry about possible failure? I live in Washinton state so no Cali **** here. But I would also like to be able to see my enigine and work on it a lil bit easler than it is....like the #2 plug. Who can help?

Ya mines a 94 formula, our states is anything over 25 years. I've heard people in my area talk about it but know one seems sure...which is frustraiting. These are reasons I still stick mostly with my classics...like whats a cat? lol

Theres alot of emissions stuff that can be removed, but I dont know how strict washington is with there emissions testing. Here is stuff that can be removed- cat, egr valve, air pump, and the charcoal canister. Thats all i can think of. Most if not all of it will not pass a visual inspection if removed obviously. I would get more info on how strict your area or your inspection station is.

i passed the sniffer with no emissions and a 222/230 cam in my heads cam 355 motor i had.........barely but it passed..........i know you dont have to have the egr and air on it to actually pass you just gotta make sure its tuned out of the computer. a check engine light will stop it from passing......

You have to figure out what sort of test you have to pass before you get any relevant answers. If there is a visual, it has to look like everything is there ( hollow cat, bb in the egr hose etc). If there is an IM or RG 240 dyno test, you are going to need everything fully functional, especially cat and egr. If it is just an idle or steady state dyno test, you can pass that with anything short of open headers and 3 plug wires off.
