Courtesy staging is the rule for all classes. Tony makes that clear at the racer meeting before the race each year.

It is normally the job of the official starter to police the staging rules, not the competitors. If somebody double bulbs you, look at the starter before you start bumping in (you should be looking at him anyway).

Has anyone been to the LSx shootout? It's coming to Florida in a month and I'm debating going to check it out.

Normally, if it looks like it is an accident, I give the guy a chance to back up before I stage. If I think it is a new guy who doesn't grasp courtesy staging, I just do my normal staging routine. If I think I am being messed with, I start counting!

Outlaw & Modified PA
1994 Pontiac Formula Black Ray Hinton

If I can complete all the mods I have planned it might only be outlaw ....wouldnt be able to make weight for Mod PA...600+# is a little to much ballast to add 8)

As you know, I race Stock Eliminator. Normally everyone knows each other, so they play nice. But, every once in a while, you get a guy who wants to play staging games. Sometimes it even starts with lane choice. That's why I try to hit both lanes during qualifying. If someone double bulbs they will usually back up. They will not get disqualified, but they have triggered the start timer. If they continue to mess around they can get an automatic red light.

I try not to get into a lot of this, but if my oponent double bulbs and doesn't back up, I will often take my time. Especially if they get on their converter, because I know they are cooking their stuff. Intake heat equals slow times.

I'm gonna try and make it down there in my 94 silverado. Probably not racing, as it's a 4700lb brick with highway gears (3.42's and 33's) but I'd think there's a few other guys from my area coming down to race. Both in mod/pa

Yea thats pretty much my take on things also. Always hit both lanes in qualifying/testing. But if i end up planing on going deep i want to make sure courtesy staging is enforced because id hate to have a guy double bulb me when i want to go in deep. If someone double bulbs me and i dont stage until he backs up what happens then? Ive never run pro tree with auto start and honestly have never really raced anyone who plays staging games jus because we are all friends in the local ET bracket series.
