Default recap of my cam swap

so the cam swap is finnaly done and boy there was alot more $$$ involved than originally planned!!

i planned on just changing my rockers, valve springs, and pushrods at first then while my buddy has the car torn down he says hey we might as well replace all your other important parts as well. DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME?

So a new opti, water pump, lifters, 36 lb injectors, gaskets , seals and gaskets and a few other little trinkets that fall into the mix we have this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUMizX7U5RY

im extremely happy with the outcome it is a custom grind lloyd elliot cam the car sounds great and pulls like a ****! I just wanted to share and thank alot of you because I took alot of my research and information off of this forum and it all really helped me out alot!

now i just need a tune because my idle is all whacky

If it pulls like a **** right now, just wait until you get a good tune! It will pick up a lot of power with a tune, and the throttle response, driveability and the idle will be much better. What are the specs on the cam?

You aren't kidding about the money - spent at least $1200 so far, and I'm still not there. But I'm real close. My last items are a 255lph Walbro pump for the tank and a rebuilt water pump. I agree totally about going new and upgrading while it's down. Congrats!

Sounds great man and looks clean too! Just curious, did you do a 98-02 front end swap? I saw a bit of the front lights in the video and they looked 98-02.

the part that got expensive also was the parts i needed for drivability with the cam, I now have a beefed up 10 bolt with 3:73 gears and an a4 tranny with a yank ss3600 stall. Lets just say its a very fun car to drive!
