the biggest misconception about aftermarket cylinder heads (atleast for these cars) is that that they're a better alternative to running a ported stocker, but in truth they are a better platform to build upon. a well ported stock casting will typically outperform an as-cast aftermarket cylinder head, because the aftermarket heads are meant to be built upon and have more room for growth.
to complement a good cylinder head, the next step is to have a company grind you a cam to take full advantage of the cylinder heads like the ones previously posted in here.

^^^^ exactly and that is why you should talk with one of these companys and get the matched parts to the parts you have. So your heads are flowing as best as possible with the matched camshaft. I love my LE2 heads and thought about it for over a year before i bought them. AFR heads are sick but for 3000 they better be, you can get le2 heads for 1000-1200 all day thats half of the afr and flow very well 270's. if you have a limited budget for the entire car then LE2 areproven time and again to be fantastic performing heads for a great price. And lloyed will bend over to make sure your set-up is correct and you have the right cam and parts for your goal. As will AFR if you have the funds for there products.
