come on you need to stop talking in these threads with cars that run better then 11.40'-50's, back 6yrs ago with my 355" LT1, LE3's, Cc306, 3,400PI, 4l6oe,M6 3.42's stock 10bolt, 26x11.5" ET streets. Best pass with a tighter nitrous converter: DA was 500' above sealevel at No Problem Raceway in Louisiana.
1.59 60'
7.18@97.1mph
11.22@120.8mph
Then sprayed 150 shot n2o and ran:
1.50 60' spinning
6.50@106mph
10.15@132mph
Then got booted for no rollbar. LOl Later

I am afraid if I try to remove it there will be a penalty involved.

Oh, this story again? My theory proves correct once again- Those who remove weight hate to talk about it or bring it up. Your setup was a tin can when you ran those times, son. This was already established in the other thread that you were trying to prove nothing on. Seems your ET's change every time you mention it.

This is something I've definately noticed over the years.

Also the reverse is very true for the other side of the spectrum aswell. Plenty of guys will throw their cars on a scale just to brag about how obese it is.

I am far more impressed by those who make a heavy car fast than those who boast about ET's and don't disclose how much weight was taken out to do so. Most often than not those who do so make it seem like their setup is magically mystical and get real bent whenever race weight is brought up.

Not when it's mentioned as race weight. You too are a fan of weight reduction, right?

Why go with tubular K-member? It's an outlandishly expensive piece for the small weight savings it offers. If you are going to go all out with a hp/weight ratio then I can understand, but if buying that only it seems a little ridiculous. JMO.

I mean I want to get it as light as possible with out it looking like a total race car going to retain stock seats and look 100% stock inside with addition of a cage (Hopefully down the road) But the itch of wanting my car back I'll probably keep it at the weight it is at now and down the road change some ****....

With A/C what could you get these cars down too??

3000 car weight shouldn't be too difficult retaining a/c. I really just don't see the point of A/C in a performance car when it makes the car slower
