Default Ram hd vs hdx

I'm getting a new clutch and I'm lookin at either the ram hf or hdx, however my only mods are bolt ons in the sig. I plan on a cam swap in the next year or so and will be running stickies this summer. My question is which of the two clutches should I go with. The hdx should handle the power easily however I don't mind spending the extra cash for the hd if it will be "better". I'm a noob when it comes to clutches so any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

i just found out that there are three stages. I don't ever see me making 600+ hp for the hd.. but they offer a middle stage called ram powergrip set good for 500 hp. I'm leaning towards this since its in between the hdx and the hd.

I daily drive my HD with no complaints. It has no chatter unless you botch it off the line and it grabs like a ****. I'm not a fan of dual friction clutches after seeing what my mcleod looked like when I pulled it out.

I aswell have a powergrip hd and no complaints with it. No I dont plan on making 600hp either but why not have the best parts possible that you can afford?

yea just get the hd, there's a lot of guys making good power running that clutch and driving them all over the place, including myself a few years back.

I ran the hdx behind my bolton car and it held it own for 4 yrs of abuse and a couple track outings. As long as you dont put drag radials behind it and launch it at higher rpms you will be fine running it even with a cam swap. Im bumping up to the Powergrip with my new build and should work out nicely. I didnt want the grabby clutch feel so i opted for it and my buddy ran one behind his 383/LE2 and put close a 100 passes on it and never faded and still running in another car since he swapped it to an auto. Im not sure how aggresive the HD Powergrip is but im sure more will chime in.
