Only really if they are burnt, torn or are not seated all the way on the plug or opti. Have you also checked the plugs to make sure an insulator isn't cracked? Hope it's not the bottom end that would suck. Maybe post a vid so when can listen to it?

I pulled the fuel rail yesterday and today im gonna borrow a set of stock injectors that my uncle has just see if maybe I have a bad one.
Im trying to rule out the bottom end as much as possible cause the way it sounds, it just feels like maybe 1 cylinder has a slight missfire or is leaning out but makes the sound of a header leak and that cant be what it is and I can't pinpoint it at all.
All I know is there is a tick coming from the drivers side of the motor towards the back (maybe 5 or 7 cylinder) and it makes a spitting/missing sound when I rev it up above 1500 RPM.
I will try to post a vid once I put the fuel rail back on.

BUMP!
Alright I've tried everything under the sun that I could think of to troubleshoot this "Ticking" noise and yesterday when I went to start it, I noticed my oil pressure gauge was not even registering a PSI!!
SOOO...I think I came to the conclusion that either my oil pump took a **** or the oil pump drive went bad. which would maybe explain why my oil pressure gauge would slightly fluctuate back and forth for the last year ive been driving it.
Has anyone had a similar situation like this? Do you suppose this was the culprit?

Maybe the pickup fell off. If it's a ticking it could be loosing oil pressure to the topend and the lifters may not be pumping all the way up. or it spun a bearing. Use a mechanical gauge first but Drian the oil and take a small straight thin screew driver and prob around in the bottom of the oil pan and see if you can feel and here something in the bottom of the pan.

Okay i'll check that out, i'm just super pissed right now since spring just hit and I proly won't be driving my car at all this year now.
Might just be time to pull it and do my Nitrous 355 like I planned.

Don't feel bad, I am in the same boat right now. My engine is sitting on the stand right now after having it built last year and I am finding out the guy absolutley dry *** f'ed me when he built it so I keep tring to get closer to getting it back together and then I find something else a miss. I have totally missed out on spring here in Florida, My favorite time of year to get in it and just take a drive. Now by the time I am done it's gona be damn near 90 degrees and I have no budget left to fix the A/C like I planed.
