Is there a thread that gives hints or explains an easier way to swap out my plugs on my 94 lt1? I kno it's not going to be easy but any advice will help..

easiest way to get to your plugs is first ditch the stock manifolds for some long tubes. if you've already done that, the next step is to find the stubbiest 5/8 spark plug socket you can and then grind it down even shorter. use an open ended wrench on the back on the socket to turn it.

I have Jet Hot/Hooker long tubes and from the top, reaching around blindly, is my best angle.

I never had a problem getting it out. It was always getting it back in for me that sucked. I used a socket and then added the wrench on after I got the socket on it. Then I would only turn it one or 2 turns and use a my hand the rest of the way so the extesion wont get stuck on it. then it took my wife and her skinny long arms 45 min to get it started on the threads the correct way and not cross threaded. I could not get my arm in there.

Yea you may have better luck under the car. My 97 with a cat sitting there I couldn't seem to get to it but you may be able to in a 94

if you have and want to keep the stock manifolds, then drop the y pipe. that will give you much more room. thats what i did the last time i changed mine before i got headers

Even with longtubes I still find it easier to get underneath for all of them. Then again i have a lift so getting underneath isnt too much of a hassle

If I recall correctly, the easiest way to get the rear passenger plug is to lay on top of the engine, and reach in from the top. I think someone even called it the "Superman" position.

(Wow, I can't believe it was that long ago that I changed the plugs in my old LT1, LOL.)

Q - "Any easier way to get to my back passenger side spark plugs?"

My advice - drop the starter; two bolts and then (Ta-Da!!) access!

use a socket with the hex head on the back of it and put a wrench on it. use a ratchet style wrench if you have one makes all plugs come out very fast, 20 min tops.
