Default ok ive searched.. before i damage it, how do you remove the reluctor?

Before i take a 3 jaw puller to the reluctor ring and possibly damage it, what is the right way to remove the reluctor ring?

Ive searched on here, with no luck as to HOW to remove it. My chiltons and Haynes manuals just say "remove reluctor wheel"...

what is the proper way to remove it?

also what is the proper tool used for install?

popped off by hand? not sure how you did that.. this thing is on there tight.. wont budge. I didnt want to risk bending it with the 3 jaw puller if its weak or thin metal..

i know the sprocket behind it is thick and requires the 3 jaw

well i wonder what the hell is wrong with mine, its as tight as the hub.. maybe i might try a few taps with a rubber mallet to see if it loosens up.. its never been off before.. 70k miles on the engine.

I used assembly lube
I put two fingers behind each side and wiggled it a little and it just slipped off.
Same deal with installing it.

That was with a 24x reluctor on a full key, I'm assuming it's he same story with a stock key and ring. (I didn't have on)

Good, just be careful with the mallet, if you bend that ring it will be out of range for the CPS

If it's the 4x ring I though that it only check for misfires? is that wrong?
