Why you go with sponsors over ebay...
#21
i read the horror stories about the install, and to the smart *** (lol) who said "what if a sponsor sold parts on ebay"..thats different. Im referring to truely ebay headers like ap1 ap2, dnamotoring, any of the others. their jig is totally wrong.
Asfar as stainless lasting forever, Maybe i should mention the jet hots come with a no hassle warrenty. Any rust what-so-ever and you get new headers.
Btw, i had time to make a new thread, read the replys, and post again....AND guess what...my drivers side header is on! Lets see your ebay headers do that!
the headers got back to my house @ about 6:10pm. I unpacked them, i made a new thread, I installed a header, i replied...its now 7:50pm
I wasted 2 weeks on the DRIVERS side of those stupid freaking peice of crap ebay headers, and it didnt even make it on the car. This is why you pay 120$ extra.

The guys at WS6store are A++. They are about 2hrs from me and I go to them whenever I need something. They also can get pretty much anything you see listed on Summit, Jegs, GMpartdirect even though it’s not listed on their site. They have outstanding customer service, great prices and have treated me very well in all my past transactions.
On a Jet Hot side note: I've been running Jet Hot brand coated long tubes since they have come out back around 2003. I am currently working on a 355 build and looked into the Ebay headers and didn't like all the fitment issues I was finding people were having trouble with. My jet hots were looking a little aged but fit perfect. I decided to have them recoated for $150 rather than risk having fitment issues with a cheap ebay header. They merge on thier Y-pipe is much nicer as well. They are a very nice part for the price IMO.

Are you serious?? I thought removing all that stuff was normal for a header install. The first set of headers I ever installed was the Hooker "sidemount" deal on a '77 Trans Am I had back then. I had to remove the starter, the steering column lock linkage, and clutch cross-shaft on the driver's side, and the oil filter and filter adapter on the passenger's side of the car. PLUS, I had the car WAY off the ground on jackstands, as I didn't have access to a lift. And once I had the headers loosely in place, I had to put all that stuff back on, before I could snug the headers in place.
It wasn't easy, putting stuff in a place that was designed for one exhaust pipe, and now there were four.....

Ive done headers twice now on an lt1, removing the steering shaft and starter is totally normal to me.
The jet hot long tubes are on the car finally. Still need to put steering linkage and oil dipstick back on, but they went on without a fuss.
No hammers were needed and no headers were damaged in the making of this film (picture)...

I have the Speed Daddy Ebay Headers and They worked fine for me, I had the k-member pulled for a stroker swap and had to delete the oil heater/cooler but other then that no hammering, dinging or anything and I paid 280 shipped for them and in the description they said they came with o2's and diddent so I called and they refunded me 80 bucks.. so i got a nice set of ceramic headers and a Y shipped to my house with gaskets for only 200 bucks...I dont think its the headers, I beleive its the person trying to install them......LoL

As much drama as is in this thread I had to look at the Web page again to make sure I wasn't on some new thread based facebook.
