Default McCleod twin disk question

OK guys...I have my twin disk for the T/A...but the first thing the directions say is that the unit is not balanced. Our cars are internally balance with a neutral balanced clutch assembly correct??? So I need to bring this assembly to a speed shop and have it zero balanced right?

If you want zero.take.the weight off. It will then be netural. I took my entire factory clutch to.them.and had them match it

I am so sorry guys....I gave incomplete info...

I have a mcleod twin disk, with aluminum flywheel assembly and master cylinder.
There does appear to be a weight attached to the motor side of the flywheel.

Don't remove that weight unless you had your rotating assembly fully internally balanced. From the factory the LT1 crank is internally balanced at the front and externally balanced at the rear, so if you remove the weight you'll get a nasty vibration.

I took mine to the machine shop to make sure it was match balanced to my stock flywheel, With the weight on the back it came out to be perfect on the balance machine. There was no way I was just gonna slap it on and not be sure, it would suck for it to be out and have a vibration because of it.

Isn't your rotating assembly internally balanced?

Yes the current motor is but I was talking about the stock motor. I guess it depends on how his motor was balanced.
