copper gasket maker on the slip fit and let it cure overnight before firing, haven't had a leak yet

Did that , burns off in less than a month.

I feel your pain.

Everything about my headers are great-- fitment, quality, etc. But that stupid slip-fit on the #1 primary blows.

Could always weld the slip fit if its that bad. I had to pull the intermediate shaft anyway during my install.

that could work but it also voids the warranty from Jet hot...no mods to the headers..

Sort of a stupid question as I have zero welding experience, but is it even possible to weld that? There's barely even enough room to turn a wrench down there, how can someone run a good bead with almost zero space?

weld it off the car then install. you'll have to remove the intermediate shaft, but i had to pull one end of mine anyway.
