Default Will an engine harness from a 96 work in a 95

I just noticed the engine harness I'm waiting for is from a 96 6 speed. I have a 95 6 speed. Do they use the same harness ?

The harness will work and be very similar. However, there will be a few extra connectors for the OBD2 stuff. You can cut those out if you want.

Will all the couplers be there for my obd1 stuff. I don't mind having an extra coupler or two as long as its going to work properly

Yeah all the sensors should be the same and you will have a few extra connections. I converted my 96 harness to work with a 95 PCM by removing all the extra connectors. All the sensors are the same as far as connectors.

I run a 95 OBD1 pcm in my 97 with the stock harness. Why not just tape up the unused connectors instead of cutting them off?

I think the ignition coil is different plug , and vss might be different. I know they vss is different on the automatic from 97-95. Also my coil was different from 97-95. Everything else should be fine.

yeah the coil is different now that I think about it. Just change to a 96 coil. I am not sure about the speed sensor but that is an easy fix with the correct plug from GM.

It sounds like I don't have to worry about it. I'm getting stiffed on the harness. I paid for it over a month ago and I'm getting no replies to my pm's.
Anyone know what I should do next.

I can't believe I got my harness today. Now I need to mod this harness to work in my 95. Is there anyway I can use my 95 coil with this harness. Can I replace the coupler with one from my 95.

I'm using an aftermarket ignition box (mallory 685) with the ignition harnesss that connects the 4 wire lt1coupler to the mallory box. The harness i got today only has a 2 wire connector for the coil. How would I hook up my ignition box.
