Default LT1 Isky cams

Anybody used an isky LT1 grind, I'm looking at a variation of their 272/284-22d/234,539in/563 on 112. Any suggestions

Do you have a link? It doesn't sound bad as a cam, but then again I have no clue about the car it's going into. And that makes a significant difference.

It was a completely modified LT1 w/heads and a schneider cam that had similar numbers. After a connecting rod failure and 200+ of nitrious building a newly forged 355. Isky catelog page 90 on PDF on their website. Car is at altitude where velocity thru the heads is more important and on a good day u see DAs @ 6500ft @ Bandimere in Denver.

195cc ported LT1 heads w/2.02,1.56 valves. Car is an M6 with 4.10s. New cam would be 225/234,539/559,112 old cam was a 226/232, 560/580, 112 cam was adv 5deg. Car has 200 hp of direct port of nos on supension mods(still didn't help, needs driver mod). Would like to keep trapping in the low to mid 120s.

Personally I'd go bigger in your situation.

do you want a cam geared towards more all around power or one geared towards that 200shot?
edit: have you checked out AI's cams? http://www.advancedinduction.com/AiProductsCK.html
I run their 226/234 .569/.570 110LSA w/ 1.5rr int/1.6exh.
I'd talked to them though, those are just a few popular grinds they have posted, really they can do anything you want. I'd give them some ballpark numbers you were considering like 22x/23x 55x/55x, tell them your entire set up and 200shot and about your DA and how your looking for good port velocity and they come up with something mean for YOUR set up
*cough* 4/7 swap *cough*

What makes you think he needs a 4/7 swap? That's gonna be a pain in the *** if he still has the opti.

What effect would the 4/7 swap have on the exhaust note? Would it even be noticeable?

Yep. 4/7 cams with a lot of overlap are generally smoother at idle and higher pitched in the rpms. Similar to an LS and SBF

Gonna need a different cam at that altitude with that motor. Lobes need to be quick on/off the seat, 108lsa is about right, installed on a 105 or 106. What spring are you running?
