Why not call AI and ask them since you are using their custom spec cam? Are you using their heads too?

I'd run the PAC 1218's on it personally but give AI a call they will direct you in the best direction....

Are the PAC 1518's the springs that come with the heads or did you put them on yourself?

What makes the PAC 1518's better than the other springs out there?

verz, when you say golds which do you mean?

OP, If your running oem heads with stock valve seats remember that installed height will be MAX 1.750. Some places may tell you to install such and such springs at 1.780, and unless you machine the valve seats/heads you cannot do it. Just a little tid-bit of info that i wish someone gave me befor i wasted time and money!

I wouldn't install any 1518 or similar beehive any higher than 1.74. I like very few hydraulic roller springs installed any higher than 1.78. My personal springs are setup at 1.84 and I have over .690 lift on both sides.

They're nitrided and are basically indestructible and very long lasting in a correctly setup valvetrain. They're old school tech now IMO, there's a few other beehives nowadays that blow them out of the water. For the OPs application a 1218 or 1518 will suffice.

Other PAC springs and a Manley spring. The most you can get out of a 1518 is ~150/340 with .610 lift and that's installed real tight. I can do ~165/385 or ~165/375 with drop-in replacements for the 1518 at the same price. Or if you want to go real radical with the lobe profile I have a ~190/420 spring that will drop-in with a custom set of spring seats to work with stock length valves. Cost there is about 100 bucks more for both the springs and custom seats. All offer better valvetrain control than the popular dual springs on the market, 1518s are just a little light on pressure for more aggressive cam combinations.
