Default help!!!!!

I need help from the gurus. I have a clear, odor less oily substance coming from the rear of my engine.

I would think its motor oil, but I started my car for a few minutes and when I turned it off and looked under it and it looked like I lost a quart. But my oil level if fine........so confused!!!

This time of year, many people have an abundance of H2O dripping and if it gets dirty along the way, it may appear to be oily... specially if there's any oil leaking around the engine compartment. Next test for me would be doing exactly what you did, but with the A/C turned off first.

Ok. Brake fluid is a possibility that I didn't consider. Definitely not condensation air was not on and it was like extra virgin olive oil is what it reminded me of.

Well you said odorless, so I'm going to guess its not fuel, but given its location, it could be fuel?

At first I thought maybe I had sprung a leak in a f something because I was starting to slowly clean the engine bay and removed the air intake trying to source a small oil leak on the front of the motor. Fired the car up before I started cleaning and my wife interrupted my cleaning to run to the store and I saw it as I was backing out.

If it lost a qt of brake fluid, surely you'd have noticed as soon as you backed from the drive and applied the brakes.

Not much is left. Coolant(shouldn't be clear), WW fluid(not often clear and never oily), fuel(not odorless)... maybe you spilled something.

The only things left are A/C condensation(ruled out), engine oil and transmission fluid, either of which could appear clear and even odorless in very light quantities.

Blinker fluid?

The feeling of brake fluid on your skin is unmistakable. Most brake fluid is hygroscopic meaning it will leech the moisture right out of anything that touches it. Like, say, your skin.

Im really leaning toward it being my hyper-drive fluid. Its what allows me to obtain warp speed before the first light year passes. Lol.
