maybe you havent been keeping up with the ls1 crowd.........they are now running cams on the stock bottom end with 240+ duration and hitting almost 500rwhp.

they are way beyond the LT1 crowd when it comes to badass cams.

I assume you're talking about the new thunder T-rex cam, which is 242/249, and has just been released onto the market last month? Please, KNOW BEFORE YOU SPEAK!!

Cams this big are not uncommon in stroker LT1s.

What does LSA do/mean? I've heard of 110, 112, and 114. What does this mean?

there are PLENTY of LS1 cams out these days that are bigger than what the LT1 guys are considering big. however most of them do not publish their cam specs.
the Trex, g5x3, magic stick, some fms customs, carteks, etc

LSA stands for the Lobe Seperation Angle... It is just what it says...The lower the LSA the more "lopier" your cam will be.... It also will make peak power at a higher RPM....The higher LSA is just the opposite

i doubt that will ever happen with LT1/4 style heads........you might get 450-475rwhp with badass AFR LT4's and a bigass hydraulic cam........maybe 500rwhp if you want to use a solid roller

Yeah... I'd say a solid roller and some ported AFR 227s.

That blows my mind that you can push 460-470 on a stock bottom end and still drive it everyday.....I would love to know how to do that!!!

Convert some 12 or 15 degree gen 1 cylinder heads over to reverse cooling. Get a custom intake. You could easily hit 500rwhp NA. It's all in the heads.
