Default Where could i buy gm 847 cam kit from? Need a.s.a.p

I'm looking for the gm847 cam kit for my 95 lt1 trans am. I have called summit, and even looked on jegs and gm performance and no good. Please help anyone.

And also would a full exhaust,a pcm tune, and a full intake help me when i install the cam?

No...that's the old (original) number.

Part number 12370847 was superseded by part number 19244485.

You need more than parts listed for that cam..... better get some springs and hardware and some roller rockers . Hope you know what's involved with running that cam. Gonna have to spin the rpms up high and a stock bottom end with their crap rod bolts are a ticking time bomb spinnin it up. Be fore warned.

^ just a question (to anyone), Does replacing rod bolts really ensure anything when spinning a LT1 over 6500?

But yes youll need some parts to go with the bumpstick.

When spinnin into upper rpm bands required for some Cams the rod bolts from the factory stretch. Usually ends up spinning #8 rod bearings.

More people than you'd believe run their stock bottom end over 6500 rpm...

Pretty much any cam you go with is going to need rockers, springs, hardware, fluids, gaskets, cam lube, etc. It isn't going to be cheap and not just a simple job. I suspect if you are asking these questions you may need to do some reading and learning what it is going to take. If you don't, you will be in over your head.

I think you are jumping the boat way to fast. You need to get a solid platform first. And these cars are capable of pulling up to 140 stock, but is your car going to be safe at that speed? What is your tire setup, suspension, gearing, trans? Getting a cam isn't going to make you any faster off the line if your suspension and tires are junk. I think you should study up on cams a bit and maybe get a custom grind after you learn a bit about them and how they work. Sorry if it's irrelevant to your question but I just wanted to give some advice.
