Default Middle of my long tube install. 02 issues

So the extensions I ordered came with flat ends and mine seem fat and square. Did they send Me wrong ones or am I missing something ? Where can I get the right ones quick ....

There are flat/square options, sounds like you ordered the wrong ones.

The four pin square connectors are for extending the rear O2s on an OBDII car. Most people don't bother extending them and have them deleted or have O2 simms installed. The flat four pin connectors are for the far-more important front O2s.

The headers came with wire to extend your factory o2 wires. use them and make sure to solder them and shrink tube them

I'm sorry if you don't know how to properly solder a wire and heat shrink it. I thought that was a basic skill when working on a car. What would be an issue if the wires are in the correct location and covered correctly? i have done this for many years with not 1 problem. I'm sure if you work on cars you have a Soldering iron and extra solder laying around and if i can remember correctly they even give you heat shrink and wire to do it. Way better than paying 20 each extension, waiting or paying extra to ship. JMO

yea but if you ever have to change or replace them you have to cut the wires and re solder them. far more easier and practicle just to buy extensions and be done with it.

I think RamAir hit my situation once again right on. About 30 minutes after in a panic I posted this topic my buddy said he found the flat connection on my car for the extensions I already have.

So day 1 consisted of getting the y pipe off, driver side manifold, and some bolts to the passenger side. The bolt all the way in the back on the passenger side was the last thing we touched and couldn't go on, so with it getting dark we called it a night. Only started working on it at 5 so decent progress. Tomorrow I hope to be running open headers at least and then one more day to get the rest of the exhaust up!!!

Oh this is the set up we are working with, My buddy's neighbor (with the lift) actually has a paying customer taking it up, booooo.

Man the things you find the first time you take apart your car. Freaking spark plugs & manifold bolts I can take off with my bare hand, different gaskets on the exhaust manifolds. Headers are 99% in, just need to bolt them up fully but lost daylight.

Should i replace my o2's while i'm at it, or keep them?

If they are ceramic coated headers I would keep your old ones in for a few weeks and let the ceramic coating burn off. It will probably foul them out so there's no sense in buying new ones and fouling them out.

Gaskets shrink causing bolts to come loose. It'll happen again unless you retighten them after a few heat cycles.

Victoryyyyyyy!
Don't pay attention to the wrap falling off. It's melting everything though
It seems like they run really close to a sensor harness on the pass side, i'll have to get pictures to see if it'll be an issue and it's melting the black plastic housing around the steering thingy, can i just take that off? don't see it's purpose and it smells when it's melting. All the plugs and cables touching i fixed though.

Take the housing off. It serves no purpose. Take the header wrap off. It too is serving no purpose other than promoting early corrosion. Anything coming into contact or near contact of the headers can be easily zip tied away.
