Default P1361?

IC Circuit Voltage Low. I've cleared the code but it comes right back on. Car runs perfectly fine but light stays on.... What should I do?

Is your car a 96/97 with the crank sensor?

-open ignition coil IC module ground circuit
-faulty PCM connection or faulty PCM
-grounded IC circuit between PCM and IC module.
-faulty circuit from coil to IC module
-faulty IC module connection
-faulty IC module

This is a pretty complicated diag for this code.

I had this code in my 1997 F Body. The only way I was able to get rid of it was by installing a new OEM ICM.
The car did run very well with the non OEM module but it would trigger the SES lamp inmediately after starting.

Any updates on the resolution OP? I have the same code with zero driveability issues on my '96 T/A. Just bought the car, the ICM was recently replaced with a unit robbed from a '93 T/A. Curious if the code is a result of using a unit from a '93...not sure if the parts interchange. Any help is appreciated.

Are you the one that has emailed me about this problem? You did not mention the ICM came from a 93. The ICM part numbers are different. Whether that would cause the light, I don't know for sure. 93s have their own module, 94-95s another and 96-97s another.

Yes, I am the one that e-mailed you. I just talked to the previous owner last night and found that out, which of course is why I hadn't mentioned it previously. I figured they were different part numbers. Have you had any experience with aftermarket (non-oem) icms pissing off cars as mentioned above in this thread?

Really hard to say if the different ICM might be the cause of your issue. Some others have used different year ICMs, but I don' t know if was the same situation as you. OBD-II might be more finicky.

Yeah, my 1st thought was that there was a good chance using a pre-OBDII part very well may anger the pcm. I just can't put my finger on anything else that may be the cause since everything else seems to be in order. If anyone has any ideas on what else I can check out though, please advise. Freeze frame data for when the code sets is not overly helpful considering the MIL comes on within 30 sec of start up.

I installed a 93 ICM in my 95 and my car did not like it too much. Swapped one from a 96 and still had light on. I thought well it can not be the ICM. Started the diag over and it was the ICM bought a new one for a 95 and have never looked back. So I would try one for you year

Verified the above. Swapped in year-appropriate ICM, cleared DTC, drove the car for an hour, shut on and off several times, and I'm code-free. Thanks to those that responded.
