breather that replaces oil cap

It's really best to leave the PCV system functional as stock, IMHO (unless you're forced induction). Works better than a breather system that has no positive flow.

I run 2 catch cans, one on pcv and on one fresh air tube. I use to run breathers but they always make a oil mess on the valve covers. So I ditched the breathers for arch cans and I like it much better

I read somewhere that some guys were running a breather filter on the valvecover along with stock hose to the TB...This prevented oil from going inside the intake.

This is the pcv can that is on the driver side, one tube off the pcv valve into the can, then out the can into the hard line into the front of intake.
The fresh air side is nothing special and is the same way basically
