Back to this sick build, when do you think it will see the dyno?
The Whipple does look promising. If you go Procharger talk to Bob at Brutespeed. I'm hoping to hit the dyno in a couple of weeks. That depends on how everything goes and that I don't have any issues when I start it up.

Awesome man! Looks like both ours will be running in about the same time frame. Thats the thing with these builds, nothing ever goes as planned. I'm scheduled in for tuning mine on 5/26/12. I changed the setup one last time so we'll see what it brings back. Hope everything goes smoothly for you man can't wait to see the outcome.

Thanks man! Your completely right, nothing goes as planned. I should be ready to fire it up this week and see how it runs. I know I need to double check the fuel pressure as I bought a used Aeromotive A1000 that I am using. Then just check and make sure no leaks. I should have the initial tune from Ed in the next few days. I need to find a good place around here to take it to for a dyno tune. What kind of numbers are you aiming for on the new build you are doing?

I tried starting it up last night once i loaded the first tune from Ed. It would crank and turn over but then just die. I realized this morning that i never did properly set the TPS on the throttle body. I'm going to set that tonight and try it again and see if it will fire up.

Well it does start and run and sounds pretty damn good. I took a video of it idling but it some how got deleted. I will take another tomorrow and post it up for everyone. I was just glad to see it start and idle with no issues.

Finally made it down to the dyno. We ran into a wall at 5000 rpms where fuel was being cut. After posting a thread on efi live, they suggested a table I needed to update. Will update that and take it for a test drive this weekend to see if problem is solved. Car made 480rwhp at 5000 rpm. Tuner believes once we solve this issue and timing is added and Meth installed should be able to hit 7000rwhp. It does appear I may need a smaller pulley for the f1a to hit 15 lbs. We saw between 10 and 12 lbs on the dyno.

If you were making 12 psi by 5000 rpm, you should definitely make 15 by 6500. The boost comes up quick in the upper rpm's!

That's what I thought too. I'm not changing the pulley anytime soon so I will see how much it makes once we get the 5000 rpm issue fixed. I think they were worried about the 236/246 .576/.601 112 Cam that is installed was going to be an issue.

What size pulley are you running now? If you are making 10-12 at 5k rpm, you will see 15 as you spin it to redline. I'm confident you will hit your number once it's all sorted. Your setup is very similar to mine and you have a more aggressive cam.

Currently have a 4.25 pulley. I'm pretty confident ill hit 700 once the fuel issue is solved. I plan on spinning to around 7000 rpm.

Why did they think that was going to be an issue? I had a smaller cam than that and made 667 rwhp NON-intercooled on a very mild tuneup.

I think at first they thought I just found a cam and stuck it in there but once I told them it was spec'd out for me, they had no issue.

so far I'm at 643 rwhp @5850 rpm with no meth, and 14psi.I was running out of fuel as well. I'm running -8an and -6an fuel lines, lonnies double pumps, 80lb injectors. I didn't have a boosted regulator so I got a aeromotive boosted fuel regulator and modified the fuel rails for added measure which I didn't have when I took it in for tuning. You have a more aggressive cam and a great head combo so you should do well in the 700rwhp mark. Keeps us posted

I did some looking today and noticed the wire that comes off my hobbs switch was not connected anymore. I'm not sure if that was causing me the 5000 rpm issue but certainly would be an issue. I have a -8an feed and -6an return, diy double pumps, 80lbs, aeromotive boosted fuel regulator and each rail is feed independently from my y block. Hopefully I will be able to take it for a test spin tomorrow and see if the issue is still there.

If the hobbs wasn't hooked up then the second pump wouldn't come on. I'm likely stating the obvious but that would def be an issue at your power level.

Been busy with work and my mba so haven't had much time to get this thing on the street and test things out. I plan on getting it out this weekend and if all goes well then reschedule the dyno visit.
