My F-1A Build
#62
Got an email from AI about my intake i sent in. It had previously been ported so i sent it in to see if it needed to be ported anymore but mainly to see what the alignment was going to look like on the Trickflow heads. My options are either to keep my existing ported intake and have AI cut the flanges to lower the intake toward the heads and elongate the bolt holes or sell the intake as is and start from scratch with a unported intake and let them fully ported it and cut the flanges. I am leaning towards just starting from scratch and selling the old intake. Wanted to see if i could get some opinions from others. The cost differential between the 2 options is around $200.

After talking with AI today it sounds like I should still be able to hit my target time frame.

Thanks man! I'm ready for it to be done. Still waiting on the intake to come back. That is the main thing i am waiting on. Once that comes back i can get the engine back in the car and work on mounting the FMIC and run the piping and install the meth system. I am debating on whether to keep the gm style slave cylinder or switch over to a McLeod slave cylinder. I do need to get a high amp alternator still. I am thinking of going with a PowerBastards alternator.

I gave the spacer and hub and damper to a friend who does that type of work and he got it done for me after we measured the correct length. You would think they would make a spacer that would be the right dimensions for the aftermarket hubs/dampers. Thanks too!

Motor is installed, procharger is installed, FMIC is installed and piping ran. I need to figure out what I am going to do for the inlet side still. Am going to install my dual fuel pumps this weekend and get them wired up and finish wiring up fuel and boost gauges. Need to get initial tune still too. Some good progress has been made.

Damn, your building the motor I was planning. I may go turbo, but a procharger is just so nice and seems alot easier compared to building all of the turbo piping. Build looks awesome man, I'll be keeping a close eye on this build

Back to this sick build, when do you think it will see the dyno?
