Default ls1 heads on a lt1

Can you do it? If so are there any gains? I have my 853s and my brother in law has a lt1, I was going to give them to him if it works....

No, they will not work. Smallblock chevy heads will work on an LT1 with modifications though.

Yeah as stated you will need JB Weld to attach them, other than that you shouldn't have any issues

I was totally joking. So were the people talking about JB weld (I hope). Hopefully these little jokes do not contribute to misinformation.

The lightweight LS1 valves will be the only parts that can be swapped onto the LT1 heads.

Only way it will work is to use pre-LS1 heads.

The bolt patterns and bores are different..nothing will match up

And the LT1 is reverse flow, LS1 isnt.

on a serious note.. the only SBC block you CAN put LS1 heads on is this one:

http://www.worldcastings.com/product...ron-block.html

plan on spending 3k for that privilege.
