At least you got to run yours - when I checked with the PR length tester I had clearance (bare minimum, but I was going to run it anyway!), but after assembling the motor with the big *** Trend PRs the exhaust valve physically hit the piston. I never thought the tester would flex that much to show false PTV, but thinking back it makes sense.

It set me back a long time since the motor was basically done and I have to flycut pistons now...

lindytools.com They have what you need. Fly-cutting is pretty easy to do.

I run Trend pushrods as well. They were $160ish. They are .080" wall, 3/8ths that taper to 5/16's. I ordered them Monday at 3pm and they were at my door Thursday morning. GREAT company to deal with!

6LE seats if my memory serves right... and the bracket for the pass side I modified the stock one to fit, driver side I made an adapter plate for the offset f body studs. works pretty well, though I still need to mark it all and possibly weld it up.

Gotta LOVE the Harwood cowl! It's one of the two best looking hoods for the LT1 cars, the Ultra Z being the best looking, IMO! Good looking car!

I am running the same COMP/PAC BBC springs that were on the heads - I had them tested and they were usable, @ 1.87" 260# closed, 560# @ .600", and 730# at the cams max lift. They only had dyno time on them so showed no sign of fatigue.

The trends were a pretty penny, around $250 after shipping. They are custom straight 3/8" .135 walled, 8.135". The beefy ones were recommended because of my fairly high spring pressures.

Where did you get those seats, and how much did the pair run you? I'm going to need to shed more weight to compensate for the cage, so I guess its time to ditch the stock front seats. Backs are long gone...nobody fits back there anyway and I don't shuttle 8 year olds around .

seats, pretty penny for something like that but well worth it, still trying to get used to it for street duty but they really keep you where you belong.

Sweet, thanks. 500 for the pair with sliders isn't a bad deal IMO, they look great. 36lbs with sliders isn't too bad either.

**edit** 36lbs each isnt much of a weight savings, and I don't autocross or daily drive it so don't care too much about the bolstering...They look great, but I'll keep looking for something a little lighter .
