ive never seen pearl black either, but id stick to good ol glossy black. I feel like id get tired of the other two much faster. Im doing gloss black, and satin or matte black stripes

Matte black is always the ****. But you cant go wrong with plain gloss black. The pearl I believe would be different but it would get old for me. Matte is how I would go if it has to be black. I prefer loud *** obnoxious colors like teal, yellow, orange, lime green, electric blue, etc etc. But to each his own.

I would do black with blue and silver pearls in the paint. My cuz had that plus green, in his beemer and It looked really nice when clean, stood out. The pearls make it look really good. I personally am staying away from black. Scratches that end up happening show up a lot easier, and gets dirty by the end of the day. Not to mention on hot days, cooks!

gloss paint may be cheaper, but typically the clear is whats going to cost you the real money

correct me if im wrong paint guys, but alot of people dont clear over satin or matte.... as they dont want that "shiney" finish

... no. well unless you are going for that lovely oxidised beater look, go for it and take ocala's word for it.

you use a satin clear. PPG makes a pretty good one.

don't go cheap on your paint... it's probably the dumbest thing to go cheap on, everyone knows what looks good and doesnt. even if you arent into cars you can tell a shittly painted car from a mile away... besides, why spend twice having to repaint in 5 years anyways...
