I hear you on the $850 part. Ive got everything repinned except for a couple. On Merim123s page he talks about the 3 connectors in the car, and the two on the fenderwell. Im not sure what needs to be done with these. I pm'd him a couple days ago but havent gotten any advice yet.

Once I get everything repinned Ill buy the rest of the 24x kit, I just want to make sure I have the harness done and am comfortable with it before I make the jump.

Do you know anything about doing anything to the ones on the fenderwell and the 3 inside the car?

I can tell you on my new harness there is a note saying the LS1 PCM is not compatible with LT1 ABS and Traction Control.

Sounds like we don't need the abs and traction stuff.

Scott is there any way we can get you to take some in depth pics of the back of the PCM connectors and connectors on the finder well and the connectors inside the car? To get an idea of what's going on and what holes are used and which ones aren't.

What pins do you need to see I have a harness that's been done and previous owner had issues and cut it out of his car. It was a running car so let me know what you need pics of in that aspect and I can help you there but can't help you about the fenderwell.

Here is some pics of everything less the pcm terminals. I can't easily do the pcm terminals as my harness has plastic covers over the end where the wires go in. Which is pretty nice since it protects the open wires. Any questions on the connectors let me know. It is kinda hard to get a pic of just the ends. You may need to save the pics and zoom in on them. I will say the new harness is damn nice and worth the money if you can justify buying it. EFI Connections does a great job on it.

Scott on the c100 I see you don't have f or d correct? And you only have b on the c105. And don't have C on the blue connector and they added a purple to k? And added a pink wire to e on the white connector? And removed the gray wire on the black connector and added a orange and red?

I think black 3 goes to blue 61 if I remember correctly and the crank low reference goes to blue 21.

I have for the cam sensor wiring:
Black 2 to Blue 61
Black 20 to Blue 73
Black 14 to Red 39

On efi connections comparrison sheet its saying:
Black 3 (which is cavity D on the opti Harness) is Blue 21

Blue 21 is crank sensor Low on the LS pcm
Black 3 is Dist. Low Ref on the LT pcm

Im assuming since Black 3 isnt needed for theopti anymore that it now goes to the crank sensor. If thats the case Ill have to make a new wire because I am sure it will be too short, But shouldnt have to. I just need to follow the rest of the Crank wiring from the lt1 and see where it ends up. There is 3 wires in the lt1 crank sensor and 3 in the ls. Ill take a look at it more closely thursday.

I know Mike @ EFIconnection doesnt care for the DIY kit and isnt a tech support. He chimed in on a few other guys threads and I wish he would help straighten a couple things out here. Then again this is one reason people buy his harness.

Your right I got backwards sorry. You have the cam sensor set up correctly. And black 3 you can just cut out. The DIY kit has the crank sensor wiring already set up and you put crank low in blue 21.

Keep in mind that...
  • 1993 is different than 1994, 1995, 1996-1997
  • 1994 is different than 1993, 1995, 1996-1997
  • 1995 is different than 1993, 1994, 1996-1997
  • 1996-1997 is different than 1993, 1994, 1995
  • 1996-1997 is the same

For example...
Connector C210 has a GRAY wire in cavity D for 1993-1995 and a RED wire in cavity D for 1996-1997. Regardless of year, this is the fuel pump test/prime circuit.

Connector C210 has an ORANGE 12V Battery wire in cavity C for all years except for 1995 (in which case the 12V Battery wire goes through C100).

Some years have two PINK ignition wires going through C220/C230, but some have only one.

Some years have the MAF power tied into the PCM ignition power, some tie it into the O2 ignition power.

And so on and so on.

When I build a harness I keep everything (like wire colors) as specific as possible to the year.

The confusion about the crank sensor low going to LT1 PCM Black 3 is that the 1996-1997 LT1 harness has both crank and cam low reference on Black 3. However, I recommend wiring the harness just as an LS1 harness where the sensors have their own 12V (or 5V) reference and low reference from the LS1 PCM. The only shared low reference in an LS1 F-Body harness is IAT and A/C Pressure Sensor.

Your the man Mike, looks like I just go over to c100 or 105 and grab a 12v switched ign power for the coils to power them.

I will run separate wires for the low ref as recomended. Enjoy your week off!

This thread has a lot of great info coming out of it. Keep up the good work Lethal and 355z28! I just bought a pair of 94 harness's yesterday to start my repinning shortly. Ones a mint A4 harness and ones a hacked M6 that i will have to encorporate the T56 pigtails into the A4 one. Id like to try and pull it off myself without having to resort to forking out cash to have it done.

I can verify all that tonight after work.

Don't worry about it Scott mike cleared it up for me it's just different than mine because it's a 96-97 harness and mines a 95.
