I didn't see them in the ls1 PCM. Cross your fingers for me.

All the unneeded junk.

Hey lethal if you get this thing runnin on the first try do you think you could do a writeup on the whole harness conversion? I have the kit already I'm just waiting to get a baseline dyno run to see if there's a difference before and after the swap.

Both LT1 and LS1 PCM control the A/C compressor clutch through a relay. The A/C wiring is identical between LT1 and LS1 cars...with the exception of the LT1 A/C Evaporator Temperature Sensor. That sensor is a signal used with the LT1 PCM but not with the LS1 PCM. The wiring for that sensor goes away with an LS1 PCM conversion.

Im sure there is going to be a few of us shortly putting together a fully detailed sticky thread of there harness builds. I just dug into mine last night and its going slow but making sure everything is documented, labeled, and checked off on the list im making as i go through it. Its really intimidating but if you take your time its really not to bad.

Thanks for this information Mike, what about the UART serial data, is that needed? Im a little confused with it since the lt1 has one wire for it and the ls1 pcm has cavities for it.

Ive found most people have powered their coils from the fuel injectors, would it be bad if I ran them off a single relay triggered by ign power?

That's really a question for GM engineering. So the way I look at it is that the UART signals on the LS1 PCM (BLUE 14 and BLUE 15) are only (??) used with systems that have a throttle actuator control module (Corvette and few trucks). I have no reason to assume that the LT1 signal is related to the LS1 signal.

About the fuel injectors
In 1993 they were powered by two separate fuses; one for each bank.
In 1994-1995 they were powered by two separate fuses; 2,3,5,8 and 1,2,6,7.
In 1996-1997 they were all powered by one fuse.

Why not use the ignition coil/ignition module power wire? (Depending on the year you are working with) it's the highest rated fused ignition source with the largest size wire (18ga)...and (again depending on year) is not used to power anything else.

I can't believe I overlooked that on my 96. Thanks again Mike! My brain is fried a little after comparing schematics for the last couple days. I really appreciate all the help you have given. Great Customer support with a great product.

Once again huge thank to mike for getting this cleared up for us. Now I feel a little more comfortable with the harness now. When I'm finished and it's back in the car I'll do my best at trying to get thread to help all the people in the future.

Quick question how do I wore in the obd port.

Yea I was going to let you do it but the more I looked at it the easier it looked. The only problems I had were wether or not I needed a few wires. It took all of about 5-6 hours but it done other than taping it up.
