Anybody running Lexan Rear Glass??? Come in.....

Default Anybody running Lexan Rear Glass??? Come in.....

Looking at dropping more weight off the tank..............anybody running the percy's speed glass lexan rear window?? looks like they make one formed/tinted ready to go........any input on this? fit? form? hows it look? and does it really drop like 40lbs??

I've had experience with the percy's stuff... good overall, not exactly sure about the fbody application...


but in regards to mustang stuff, it was a LOT lighter. Kinda like going from the stock tin hood to a fiber one, is how I would describe the weight difference/rigidity.

edit- you might have to make some sort of frame for the back glass because of it's shape... I know getting it to seat perfectly took some patience and a bit of weather seal

also... go lexan windscreen? IDK the 9.99 rules for nhra, but if you don't need a window net I wouldn't go lexan sides yet as they are ugly as hell. Also lexan can limit what class you are trying to get in, but I'm sure you are already aiming for more...

yea i got a few things on the list.......i wanna leave stock front and side glass for the shootout class plus i like the street car look lol......rear is getting done though as well as the converter...........got a few things up my sleeve for next year......hopfully without breaking my budget lol

I have one. Love it! You can't even tell it is not factory. Did you notice in Bowling Green?

It fit perfectly. I had a local auto glass company come out and install it. They just glued it in place. No screws or rivets here. You will need to purchase a new molding/weatherstrip for it.

hmmm, tony how's the visibility out of it assuming you have the tinted one?

wow i was staring right at it in BG and never noticed............ok thats on the winter list along with a converter and some other thingsssssss ..............now i just need some snow so i can get the truck out and make some money lol the 60* crap in december is no bueno!!!

I have the tinted one. It is very clear. When looking into the rear view mirrow the glass is slightly blurred but still ok.
