Default Which synthetic oil do you guys use for cold winters?

It dropped to 19 degrees this morning so I figured I'd swap out the 30W dino oil for some Penzoil 5w-20 Ultra. Pepboys didn't have any 5w-30 so I figured 5w-20 couldn't hurt with the cold starts I have to do every day and short distance driving.

What are you winter guys using?

I wouldn't run 5 20w. The 20w will be to thin at proper engine temp. Stick to 5 30 or 0-30

Dammit! I just spend $60 on Penzoil Ultra 5w-20 cause they only had 1 quart of 5w-30 left in stock. Should have just ordered Redline 5w-30 and been done with it.

I'll just go easy on the engine till I get around to it. The hawk has had 4 oil changes in the past 500+ miles.

Unless you're driving enough to get the engine hot during the winter a synthetic will put water vapor in your engine. I'd do a half and half or keep it conventional
