Default Header bolts?

97 T/A. Pacesetter LT, need to know a good header bolt and what size to use?

3/8 bolts can find them at most auto part stores or you can use 3/8 with Allen heads I have had them on my pacesetters for over 4 years along with copper gaskets and NEVER had a leak!

The Allen heads are a pain to work with but worth it...

why did you choose allen heads over the 12 point bolts?

I like allens because you can get a ball tipped allen wrench in there at a pretty extreme angle. Sometimes that makes it a lot easier and there's no downside really.

My pacesetter headers came with bolts so thats what I used on mine. I just made sure to re tighten them after the first few heat cycles and now I just check them when I change the oil and haven't had a problem with them coming loose.

6 point bolts are lot easier than 12 point.

Ive got a set of the Spectre wire lock bolts...let you know how they work when I get around to installing my headers

6 point arp 5/16 bolts way easier to get in there and tighten the bolts
