Rotate the backside of the opti to where ever the cam dowel pin is and slide it on. The cam doesn't have to be at #1 or #6 tdc.

Those are just reference marks. When the hub pointer is at 12 o'clock, it will be at 1 or 6 TDC. The dowel pin will be in the coinciding location. It is to help you put the opti in the right position before sliding it on. The whole thing is pretty much self-explanatory.

It is a very small torx. I can't remember the size just now.

once you put the opti back on, it might take you a while to get it to align. It took me a good 10 minutes or more cus i felt it kept spinning on me.

after you put the opti on, make sure it is completely flat against the timing cover BEFORE tightening the opti bolts. after you put the opti on, make sure it is completely flat against the timing cover BEFORE tightening the opti bolts.

notice i said that twice. It is VERY IMPORTANT!

after the opti bolts are tight, push on the opti harness connector. make sure it clicks into place. if it doesn't, figure out why. if you can't figure out why, the plug is most likely damaged. replace it with an opti harness pigtail and solder it in.

Take the front cover off when you install the opti, this will allow you to hold the shaft and keep it from rotating. Then put the cover on once the opti is bolted in place.

Right off the top of my head, I actually think it's a T-4. I know whatever size it is, I had to do a bit of scrounging in order to find one to buy...

He's talking about the cap. That way you can see the rotor and know the position.

Put a little lube on the o-rings that fit into the cam nose. It'll be snug.

I would think that AC Delco would offer a replacement part. They do offer all sorts of harness bits and pieces.

Go to eficonnection and buy a new harness. The GM one is terribly expensive in comparison.
