My buddy DD'd his 98 T/A with full bolt ons and lowered Koni/Strano setup in the winter with Winterforce tires and never had any issue what so ever. His trans even shifted very hard.

If your not careful you can put an fbody into the wall easily when it's raining out, and snow would be way worse. I tried making it up my driveway when it had about a 1/4 inch of snow one day and it wouldn't go without a running start.

So today, driving after freezing rain has fallen, traffic report is preaching Armageddon even though salt of Dead Sea proportions has been laid down and roads are mostly wet, dumbfucks all over the place driving just below the speed limit with their hazards on. Trying to pass any one of these **** suckers they give you a dirty look and most will speed up.
Always enjoyable changing lanes in front of them so they freak the **** out and dramatically slow down. Just mind your business, worry about your own **** box and let me drive for ***** sake.

I only had issues with my car in the snow when it was more then 3" The tire and driving level has alot to do with it.

I drove mine through two Colorado winters and up Eisenhower pass in heavy snow. its all about tires and knowing how to drive in those conditions. Definatley made me a much better driver having to use it in the winter.

Eisenhower pass is a ************. Would love to go on that with the bike.
I remember driving up to Eisenhower tunnel in a '66 Chevy P/U in a blizzard while going skiing. As we started on that steep grade before the tunnel going west, we had to dodge all around people and cars as they were trying to put chains on. I had snow/mud tires in the back and no weight and it was RWD only. Ate that **** up no problem. You are absolutely right in that it's all about tires.

I've said the exact same thing many times, but usually get a in response. If you aren't a "better driver" with these cars in the snow, it will turn around and bite you real quick! The lack of stability and all-speed traction control puts everything in your hands...just how it should be.

I have driven a 1988 Z28, 1995 z28, 1995 mustang GT, and a 2002 Formula in the snow. The Formula with decent all season tires did ok, but if you have any hills to tame your screwed. The Formula had traction control, which helped, but if you get stuck you have to disable it and give it hell.

I wouldn't recommend it as a daily in the winter.

My WIFE dailys 99 SS in the snow, its easy to get stuck and yes it sucks but she only works 6 blocks away. i got stuck on a hill at a stopsign. i had to back down the hill to level ground get a running start and blow the stop sign. but we have bald 295 kdw summer tires on the back

Maybe with some decent rubber, I have a hard time getting traction with mine, but there is a lot of ice up our way....

Ice on the road it doesn't matter what you drive if you don't have chains or studded tires.

Agreed, unless you have good tires...Winter driving sux. We get ice & snow and snow & ice...plus plenty of salt on the roads...not the time to be driving a high powered sports car, especially one you like & put any sort of money into.
