DId it last summer and it sucked. I decided to pull the dash and it the worst thing I could have ever done. I had a little crack before I pulled the dash and now lets just say I need a whole new dash. I did get the heater and everything else out and put in a plate from BMR in but I think I'll just get a BFH next time.

I made a plate from scrap steel, home depot, lowes or any hardware store will sell sheets of steel. Just make a template with cardboard, transfer the shape to the metal, and use zap screws and rtv to seal it. A couple coats of rustoleum make it pretty. $15 vs $70 if you buy one.

There is some thick black rubber matting covering the firewall and down to the floor, and over the trans tunnel. You can't get that off without dropping the dash, but it's heavy. Between the thin steel hvac delete and the absence of the rubber mat, my interior is much louder now, as I can hear every little leak and tick the motor makes.

You might as well pull the dash to get the heavy passenger airbag out, and to remove all of the ducting for the hvac.

I'm leaving the matting for sound purposes and I'm thinking.ducking shouldn't weight to much so it should be good.leaving.this.for now, I'd like to remove the airbag but I don't feel like pulling the dash lol
