No? I wouldn't see how. If anything you should get a GREAT sound, and gain HP!

I had a cutout with my stock manifolds and it sounded like absolute ***. Keep the magnaflow and save up for a real exhaust. LTs and true duals=sex with LT1s...

Straight pipes on a (stock) LT1 sound absolutely terrible without some kind of muffler.

Ugh avoid strait pipes... I had an SLP Loudmouth on my Trans Am and that sounded like crap! IMO strait pipes only sound good with a cam.

I have to agree with everyone don't do it. I did this right after I got my car and it was horrible. Sounded like a truck only worse.

I agree that it sounds like poop. I took my muffler off when I first got my car and immediately put it back on.

mine has straight pipes, right now it doesnt run in middle of project, but none the less is way too loud. If you want to be pulled over or worried about being pulled over about 5 times a day then go ahead. Ill trade you my exhaust for your magnaflow.

My Formula had stock exhaust with the muffler cut off when I bought it and it was just too loud and shitty sounding, had to get rid of it.

Straight pipes have horrible tone.... Tone over volume remember that. Yes it does sound like a redneck inbreed driving his jacked up truck with stacks.

Yes, the muffler shop quoted me 140 installed i also looked at a borla xr1 which was just about $140 but then the muffler shop said they would charge me $75 installation fee.
