Angry HELP!! got a odd tick sound

I noticed a tick sound coming from the bird yesterday. And it wasn't there on Sunday.and I can't tell what it is. Its a constant tick tick tick and speeds up as rpm goes up.and its coming from the front of the engine. Car is running perfect no stumbeling or anything. And no codes are being thrown. Can't tell if its electrical or not.

I tried to shoot a video of the sound but the cars so loud that it just bleeds into the video sound.

And I can't see any arc coming from wires I looked all over the front.

I'm not seing any steam or smoke coming out anywhere. I do still have my air pump hookedup to my pacesetter mids.

it is a very sharp and defined tick sound. Don't know if that makes any since.

Sounds like either an exhaust leak or a lifter starting to take a crap to me. Of course that's just a guess and I'm not near as knowledgeable as a lot of these guys on here so please don't quote me.

I know its not a lifter. The sound is external and at the front around the opti/power stearing pump area. I'm getting ready to do a LT swap and delete the smog crap. Hope that's the problem.

I just went out side and went over it in good day light. And noticed my power steering pump is leaking and spraying fluid all over the right side of my opti. And the wires are covered in it. Thanking I may be getting some arc from this? If that's the case I'm suprised the car wasn't running different.

Lucky for me I got a pump of my old 95 I can swap on. Guess I should go ahead and put on new plug wires.

I'm running a msd opti and ignition box/coil

Thoughts on a good wire to run? (Not msd, don't care for there wires on the lt1 )

Wow...not fun. I doubt you're getting an arc from that, but I suppose it could be possible. More likely is that the noise is actually coming from your P/S pump.

What's wrong with MSDs? I love them. Please don't tell me you like Taylor's. Those things are JUNK.
