I think youll have more then enough room.

straighttimestirrups- those plug wires are OTVC (over the valve cover), you can buy kits from sponsors, they are not stock lenght.

I took a looked on the underside area of my VFN 3" SS hood, and it's pretty flat under there. In fact, more so than the stock 94 hood. I guess it all depends on how the lid/housing is going to be mounted. It would have to sit in a low profile fashion. If it can be done, I'd like to do this conversion as well.

I thought if you use an ls1 radiator base, the lid would fit without cutting it?

BOLO is correct, it is flat. Matter of fact there is no cutting at all on the VFN 3" SS hood unless your trying to see the Lid from the top, lol! You have to lean the radiator back pretty good. The filter is held up by the radiator and the core support. There is some trimming of the lid like I stated but it will go! There is no way to use the base with this hood at all. With a cowl, yeah!

thanks for the link but it still shows the hood being cut to clear. There is no way to cut the vfn hood there because of the way its built.

Note my car/engine bay is dirty as **** for me, considering I have been waiting on my new MWC rearend for 3 1/2+ months and cant roll or wash which is a whole other subject but anyways.... Sorry for the big *** blurry pictures. Damn phone! Not sure how to load them smaller.... Took them right off of photoshop that I loaded up earlier for you. Hope this helps.... As you can see, I had came up with these little rods that I weled to the bottom side of the RAD support that had holes in them so I could slap a cotter pins in. This holds the front of the LID down. You can get these at Ace Harware for next to nothing, $1 I suppose. The back of the Lid is held down by the silicone adapters that connect the lid-pipe-TB.... Also note that the radiator is laying back as well. You just have to work at it and adjust where neded. Take your time and it can be done. I still would like to come up with some brackets that hold the radiator up that go all around the lid so you cant see any of the exposed radiator as you see currently. I was in a hurry so to speak to get everything up and running for my PCS to FL. Last pic was 4+ months ago when it was a running roller. Anyhow, let me know if you have any questions.

I used this link when I created my setup even though I'm not using a stock hood. 3" VFN SS all the way!!!!! http://www.lt1engines.com/tech/ls1-l...k-camaro-hood/
If someone can make that bracket for me without bending the back let me know, I will take one. It has to be perfect and you never know how far back everyone has to lay back there radiator to make it fit with there application....

Thanks for posting some pics. I still can't see how the top of that lid would clear the flat underside area of the hood. I mean, it's taller than the top of the intake manifold. And the underside area of the hood goes flat from there to the latch. But hey, you seem to have it working without any clearance issue.

Ok guys, I recall a little modification work not mentioned earlier, sorry it was well over 2 years ago when I did this. I heated the top of the LID up as well and pushed it down a little bit. It will work i promise you if you dick around with it. Still looks great and you get the best flow from what I've read for the LT1.... See attached picture
