Default Optispark conversion ?

My opti is going on my 93, and I am thinking of the optispark conversion to a LS1 coil. Anyone ever install one of these and if so how did it work and how much was it. Also I am just looking for one for a good price and I am still kicking the idea around of replacing the opti. Are there any good ones besides the GM OPTI. THANKS

With a 93 a nice little upgrade can be made by converting it to vented. The MSD replacement cap and rotor will do this for you.

There are plenty of people using bone stock optis right to the pcm's limitations without issue, the opti really isn't bad, neglect is it's single biggest problem, people do not treat the cap and rotor as the tuneup items they are.

Unless you plan on doing something radical to your LT1, I don't think a LS coil conversion is really going to aid you. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Mine should be mobile by the weekend Headers are almost done getting wrapped then its finally going to leave the garage

I do agree with it being unnecessary unless your doing something extreme. I just couldnt take the slight issues that would pop up every once in awhile. With that said i have been toying with the idea of forced induction.....
