Default Reviving my Z

I purchased my 97 Z28 M6 from a guy last summer for $3k with 92k mi. The dude had different rims on the front and rear as you'll see in the pictures. As of right now I'm deployed but I've been buying parts to put on once i get back. Total repairs so far have been: New PS pump, new windshield, plugs and tune along with a few other minor things. As of right now I'm sitting on a K&N CAI,hooker long tubes, borla dual cat exhaust right now that will go in when I go on leave. Any suggestions?? I'm just cutting my teeth with f bodies.

Also getting it repainted and fixing the crack in the front bumper and moving the license plate the fool decided to screw onto it.

Hahaha! Check out this dudes taillights! Real funny...I managed to get ahold of some '00 10 spoke stockers to throw on it instead of the garbage it has in the picture. Here's a shot of the rims that are waiting to go on it

How much of a difference would i see between 3.90 gears and 4.10's? That's possibly my next purchase. I'll eventually go to a 12 bolt or 9" but i'm not planning on goin all out with it just yet. Also with the lt's i'm installing do i need a y-pipe? Seeing as how the exhaust i have has a single inlet i'm guessing so but hey....I've been borderline retarded before

I think those wheels pictured are a mistake. just my .02$. But if your trying to match the tail lights with bad taste they will work fine.

It would look alot better with a set of 17/18 deep dish C5 wheels.

If that was my car I would find a can of VHT nightshades and go after those tail lights till I could find a set of 98+ tail lights. VHT is like 7-9$ a can, 3 to 5 coats would make those lights ALOT more tolerable. I would also do the deep dish wheels. You said your talking paint so thats good. After all that id do 35% tint on rear window and 50% on sides. Then i would find a set of lowering springs. I would do all that befor I touch the engine other then neglected normal maintence items (fuel filter, oil change, Trans fluid, pcv and ****).

Heres a pic of your tail lights tinted...

You might try a paint correction before you go all out with a new paint job. You might end up just having to paint a few parts. (i.e. bumpers)

Repainting is the only option right now. The cc on the lid and roof is almost non-existent right now and the rear bumper looks like 10 cans of shark **** got thrown at it.

FINE! I see the error in my wheel selection. Here's what i just bought. 17x8.5 front wrapped in Toyo Proxes T1-R High Performance 245/45ZR-17 with matching 18x9.5 rear and 275/40ZR-18.

Thats not what I'm goin for with my car, but it does look good. Plus I've still got the stocker 10 bolt rear that i can't replace just yet. I've got my eye on a Moser 12inch right now but i wanna get back and see what kind of $$$ i have after driving to michigan from cali and back AFTER a trip to vegas.

Just added a set of BMR 1 1/4" lowering springs to the list of upgrades. Next will most likely be a set of koni adjustable shocks. It's looking like it'll take the better part of 2 days to get everything together but it'll be worth it. 2 months till i'm home!

Get an SS hood and a 97 ss tail, not the 98+. I see those tail lights all the time.

With c6 z06 wheels your car will look badass .
