Default Time to say goodbye :(

Well, today I sold my car. I've had the car for seven years and had many ups and downs with it. I wanted to thank this forum and everyone one involved with it for all the help and tech I've used from it. I'm not getting out of the car scene I'm just going a different direction. I've been idle with the car for the last year and I was ready for a change.

Well, I'm going to look at a 1970 Trans Am tomorrow. If it's everything he says it is and it's everything the pictures say it is it'll be in my garage tomorrow night!

I sold it to a local guy. I put the car on craigslist without too much intent on selling. He fell in love with it and gave me what I was asking. Couldn't turn it down. This was the first car I ever built and I started from scratch when it was bone stock. It will definitely be forever missed.

Best of luck with your new project! It must have been hard to part with it. Judging from the pic in your sig it looks like it is in awesome condition.

1970 Trans Am

I love that early style T/A, absolutely beautiful car, great choice! My next vehicle purchase will be a 1st or 2nd Gen Firebird of some sort.

Sad news, but it sounds like things are working out well for you. Wish we'd all have finally made it to SGMP before you sold it. Maybe you can still go with Matt (if he ever finishes his...lol) and I can go down and meet ya'll. Finally got a 12 bolt under mine, but I haven't made it to the track yet. It'd been cool to run 2 silver LT1 camaros down the track together even though you'd have outran me. lol

It was really hard to part with it. I delivered it to the guy, when I was driving off I seen him driving it, it was that point I felt really bad about selling it. The car was in great shape, way better than this TransAm I have. LOL.

I love them too. I wanted a car that is going to go up in value.

I drove 6hrs to pick it up. It was a 14hr round trip after looking it over and what not. I'll pull it out the garage and take a few pics of it. Be warned, it's a project. I don't know what the guy was thinking when he painted it with looks like the color of yellow road paint. Body and paint is my very first step.

Believe me I know. I got my asking price which was less than I had in it but plenty for a LT1 Car.

GL man
I feel ya, I was just ready for a new endeavor. The car sat more than I drove it. Sometimes months at a time and there was nothing wrong with it. I just lost interest.

No problem man, I may have gotten rid of my LT1 car but if you need help I still know them like the back of my hand. PM me if you need anything.

I hope to finish the car by the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona. That gives me around 8 months. Maybe when I finish it Matt and I can drive up to SGMP and rip it down the track a few times. It has a pretty tame motor in it but, it still makes good power.
