HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Not quite.... After taking a long leave of absence due to my father passing away, and apparent engine damage when the #2 cylinder was down 30 psi on compression, I recently got around to getting all my **** together to make a run again at dethroning the texas tornado Tony Shepherd....![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
My motor was actually fine, took the grounding strap off the #2 plug on a pass using a 400 shot. car slowed down but ran 9.11 on 7 effective cylinders.... grounding strap welded itself under the valve which is what caused the compression loss cause the valve couldn't sit all the way down on the seat. Motor is freshened right now and is just waiting for me to get back from St Louis (Military decided that they would send me on PCS assignment 11 months before I retire...![Sad](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_sad.gif)
So the car is in cali waiting for me to get back in June. I'm taking 250-300 lbs out of the car to get it down to class race in West Coast Hot Rod Association Outlaw 8.5 1/8th mile class... Minimum weight for my combo is 3100 lbs and i'm at 3400 right now so something has gotta go.... I figure at 3100 lbs my combo is good for 5.50's in the 1/8th....
Sooooo long story short... i'm back bitches....![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)

Now it's in Kentucky???? Goddamn you guys keep moving it east..... makes sense, get as far away from the west coast as possible...
My engine builder still busts my ***** and asks me all the time on the phone "WHEN WE GOING AFTA TONEEEE SHEPAAAAAAAHD" lol.... yeah i'm gonna find out the status of the motor when i get back. One thing that sucks is that I can't move back in my house till October. I rented it to someone on a 1 year lease but i'm moving back to Cali at the 8 month mark... ridiculous..... i'd love to make the kentucky date. We'll see if it's doable....

Yeah my dad got sick with cancer and took up a lot of time until he passed 6 months later. It was a shock to all of us and it happened right around the time that I was having the issue with the #2 cylinder, and the motor was still installed in the car. I let it sit during the entire time while I flew back and forth from Cali to Rhode Island. Obviously finances got redirected from anything related to cars to seeing my dad.....
Then the military decided to play some foolish games regarding me retiring and they moved me to St Louis when I had 11 months left until retirement. I left the fam back in Cali cause it's foolish to pull them out of school so i can move for 8 months (with leave i'll go back to cali in june for good).....
So all in all i just recently got back around to prepping the car and getting back to doing what I love with it... My kids are getting older and really want to help crew the car with me so I figure it's something we can do together....
And I took off the SICKHP plate off my car and put my dad's Rhode Island plate he had on his car for pretty much his whole life.... REB 51. (Robert E Brisson 51 the year he was born).... So that's my motivation now.

Cliffs?
Tony Shepherd and Jason Brisson (OutlawZ) engage in who can break 8 second barrier with an LT1 on spray (previously never done).... Starting in 2008.....
Tony's motor done first, but has issues with it. Outlaw's motor finished 2nd but hampered with traction problems initially....
OutlawZ passes Dave Diluca's record of 9.11 with a 9.06 but is just short of the white camaro from colorado also in the mix.... Has issue with motor thinking it's a lifted ringland.... then dad passes away and outlawz disappears to take care of personal ****...
Tony gets motor program on track, dominates LTx shootout and eventually breaks the 8 sec barrier while outlaw assumes his #2 piston is toast.... Tony whittles it down to 8.6 where it currently stands.
OutlawZ figures out motor is not broken, just hurt sparkplug but ran 9.11 on 7 cylinders.... now putting car on diet to get it 250-300lbs lighter.... still has another 50-100hp worth of spray to use..... motor won't go back into car until at least June...
that should catch you up...

Welcome back man, glad to see you haven't given up. STL has just reopen their local 1/4 track last week. Too bad you did have your car with you..
I understand, that you'd divert your finances to your father, Id do the same thing.
