Spray on an lt1
Had in mind of buying an lt1 doing some bolt ons and spray, how well do lt1s take spray? Would it be bad with over 100k miles? I would like to know what I need to look out for, any help I would appreciate thanks
If the engine has had average maintenance and use over that 100k, it will take a 150 shot for a long long time, provided you never run out of fuel supply and you have the tune right.
Auto trans? It will be the first weak link you'll find. Setting the upper limit of the window switch to cut the spray at the shifts would help it.
I ran a 150 shot on a bolt-on LT1 for several years, ~125 runs. Never hurt a thing. 11.3's in a 4000 lb car.....however if you try to do that with a stock F-body rearend, you'll find another weak link

rearend, tranny, and hyperutectic pistons..... those will generally break first.... provided the car is in good condition tho as said before you should be fine with a 125-150 shot...
I'd definitely upgrade the injectors if you are going to use a dry kit..... plate not so much. but i'd still DEFINITELY upgrade the fuel pump and injectors regardless.... a hot hole and it will break the piston...
