My post on the first page was clear as day. thread could have ended then.

LT4 intake = LT4 heads

LT1 intake = LT1 heads

I hate to add fuel to the fire, but I came across this article a few minutes ago while searching for intake manifold gaskets of all things lmao. The editor made this article sound phenominal if it is being read by someone who is clueless, but after I read the article, I wanted to gag...They are boasting a 46 RWHP gain from Edelbrock Heads, Cam and a 52mm TB over STOCK Heads, cam and intake.....with a $2500 price tag!!! What makes it worse, is by looking at the dyno sheet at the bottom, it isn't TRULY a 46 RWHP gain...they are comparing RPM for RPM...the stock H/C package starts to fall at 5600 RPM's and it peaked at 249 RWHP with Torque peaking at 288 @ 3700 which was the beginning RPM for the run, BUT the Edelbrock package peaked at 283 RWHP @ 5900 RPM's and fell to 281 RWHP @ 6000, AFTER the stock package had fallen to 235 RWHP...THEN they compared numbers for a 46 RWHP gain....In all reality, it was a 34 RWHP gain. Not to mention that overall, the car LOST torque! Yes the Edelbrocks beat stock the rest of the way down the power band, but what were the numbers BEFORE 3700 where the stock H/C were beating the Edelbrocks??? It lost all of it's low end torque...WTF?!

If I paid $2500 for a H/C pacage that turned out like this, I would be furious! Am I repeating something that was already discussed or no? lmao Sorry, this is the first time I have seen this article and I am astounded by how much the editor talks up a $2500, 34 RWHP gain.....sickening to me.

What you all are failing to see is that the Edelbrock stuff was much prettier in the article. Heck a coat of red paint on the intsake and I'm sure that would have been good for another 20 hp.

I have an edelbrock throttle body. It opens to like 10 degrees the point it should.

The TB is the only piece they make that is OK, I know when they had shocks and catback for the b-bodies those were terrible, shocks would puke oil inside 6 months. Their b-body shorties actually require welding to install. Kind of defeats the purpose of shorties.
They have good products for older stuff but there is less room for simple improvement on newer stuff like the LT1 and they just don't deliver.
