Are you running a stock engine? Cause I was told by AI I was better off with GM cast heads with my stock rotating assembly even though it was balanced and ARP'd.

I'm thinking titanium rods, titanium wrist pins and a Crower Ultralight crank. You got any of those? LOL

In all seriousness I would give AI a call if you have the funds. These heads are putting some impressive times N/A and with nitrous at the track.

From what experience do you get this opinion?

As cast the LT4 head is superior to any production LT1 (as cast) head.

As cast to as cast yes, but outside your class racing why run an as cast head?

From what I see on the track ported LT1s work at least as well as ported LT4s and the cores are cheaper making them a better choice for most people not limited to as cast heads as you are.

True, but who wants to run a cast lt4 head when there are better and cheaper options,, unless your limited by class...which I believe is not the case for the op.

I would run ported stock heads before anything else as cast. Aftermarket as cast will not perform as well as ported stock on most setups. Now if you need a big chamber or something things could be different.

I just chose the AI 200cc porting on my stock heads over the option of the 185 trick flows and many others, after a LARGE amount of time checking flow numbers and valve size and really considering the truth in my goal. What kind of numbers they would produce on the dyno wasn't even a thought in the choice. If you chose AI 200cc or LE2 heads to go with that cam you would be in the 425rwhp (+/-) area, if you have some compression. It would be a very good cam with those heads. What do you want to do with the vehicle?

The stock intake is a pretty good piece don't list it as if it is holding you back atall.
