Cam that sounds stock?

i am thinking for my nexted mod will be a cam.. but i would like a to have a cam that sounds stock with the cut out closed but when i open the cut out it sounds mean
... i dont know if there is a cam out there that does that.. i am looking into a cc503 but i came a cross a cc306?.. idk that cam sounds awesome i have stock heads can i run a cc306 off stock heads? i also have a mild torque converter which is about 2800.. thanks for the help

oh that works also dose it work good with the stock heads.. that is my #1 concern about getting a cam only car soo you are saying 226/234 cam would be fine?

Yes u can run the cc306 with stock heads...change the valve spings!! If u just want to cruise around town and sound nasty then yes go for it. But if u want to race or go to the track, then a 3600 or 4 k stall would be better. Now at the track on the stock bottom end this cam will make power way above the 6400 rpm safe zome that i observe. Dont race on this cam unless u have a forged bottom end. Others may think that the rpm may be higher but i kinda think that is the high limit...I would go with cc503 or call AI or LE custom grind just my .02

And yes, as stated, don't worry what the car sounds like. Your options to have a stealthy n/a setup are limited.

wouldnt a quiet exhaust make a nasty cam way less noticeable? I would say get whatever cam best fits your needs and run a really quiet exhaust. youll still hear the lope but barely. Ive heard a Z06 with a donkey dick sound pretty stock with the cutout closed then nasty when it was open. jmo
