Default my 383 solid roller build

well i have never done a mod list on my car so i figuered i would share it with ya guys . its a forged 383 with splayed 4 bolt mains with a.r.p studs in and out . it has 10.5/1 comp ratio . my heads are mildly ported a.f.r 210,s cam is a comp custom gring solid roller w/.648 /.648 lift and .238 /.248 duration with jesel shaft mnt rockers . i got rid of the stock lt1 computer and i am doing a megasquirt computer in it using there ms3 board on full sequential injection , my dizzy is a m.s.d dual sync dizzy with my intake machined out for a dizzy . trans is a 4l80 with a jakes m.v.b and transbrake ,4k converter with a triple disc lockup . rear end is a quick perf 9 i i got rid of there abortion of a mnt for the trq arm as im having m.w.c.f build a short arm trq arm with ends that will mnt to the 9in on the quick perf tabs . car is a nitrous car as well . my future plans are gonna be going to a edelbrock vic intake etc . cant wait to finally wrap it up and see what it can do . l.m.k what ya guys think and i appolagize now for my crappy grammar lol

Exactly what I was thinking...seems like a nasty setup except for stock compression ...you're leaving lots of power on the table not to mention much snappier throttle response. I'd put some thinner head gaskets or get those heads milled...

i had a rough morning. for some reason i saw "mildly ported" and missed the afr part. scratch what i said, and the afr 210's would work great.

low compression is cause i am going with a blower and at this time i cant put anymore money into it and i wanna get the car running this year lol . that and its a whole new susp etc and i wanna kinda dial car in a bit before i go with blower . cause once i do its getting the single plain intake with a elbow etc, f.m.i.c charge piping new and bigger fuel system to run e85 etc . i have 2 kids and the ar is my hobby not my responsibility like my kids are lol . so all in all ill stay nitrous for the yr unless suttin changes and im running a 150/200 shot . this motor wasnt supposed to go into car yet as i wanted it all done before i tore it down but i fried 2 cyl,s at my last outing with car so i had to push it forward a bit .

With a blower you should be at 9.5 to 1 compression or 8.5 is even better Lets you build more Boost N/A you want 12 to 1 With 10.5 youll prolly be at 5 or 6 lbs of boost max

He can do a lot more then 5-6#s. Stock motors run 6-8psi with that compression, and he is fully forged plus will be on E85.
