Default Finally took the TA to the strip

Well the track prep was crap. All i could do was slip the clutch at 2k, bog off the line badly, then do what i could. Anything above 2k would just spin terribly. I know this stock LT1 isn't making that much power to spin a good set of 285's like that.

Anyways 9.007 @ 81.22mph on a 2.17 60ft was the best i could muster. Atleast i know its got 8.8's bone stock at a better prepped track. This was just at my crap local 1/8th mile. Btw its a 97 TA 6spd with muffler delete and ws6 air box with 109k miles. Really excited about doing bolt ons in the near future. I'd say theres no reason this car wouldn't turn a 8.4 with full bolt ons and a tune.

It would have ALOT better than 8.4 with FULL bolt-ons.

Yeah i guess it would if i had the right tires and suspension to get it out off the line. I should have been more detailed. I meant 8.4's with full bolt on's on street tires. I know i've seen a full bolt on auto with slicks run 7.9 before. Pretty impressive for what it is. I just don't like to overestimate for myself though. Haha

Yes the front stab bar should never be removed, you never know when a good stabbing is on order.

Here's the ole girl at the track yesterday next too my buddy's totally nasty bolt on ls1. Love the C6 wheels but think those heavy 19's are holding me back a lil. Need to go too a tasteful 17 or 18 at the most.

Stick with what you got. Those 19's look badass. Love that body style. What did your buddies LS run?

Thanks man, i do love the looks no doubt. His is an 01 ws6, lt, full exhaust, lid, bluecat tune. Ran 8.2 @ 89.7 mph! Could not believe the trap for what it has done. Most basic bolted ls1's trap 86-87 at best for what i've seen. Must be a factory freak. I'd say a 8.0 was possible but like me he had to pull out like he was going for groceries. Track prep SUCKED to say the least.

Stab bar, stabilizer bar, sway bar, anti-sway bar, anti-roll bar, call it what you will.

well went back to the local 1/8th and man was the track prep better. Pulled a 8.8 @ 81.66mph on 2.08 60ft! Amazes me for a bone stock m6 lt1. Gotta say its got a 8.7 for sure in it with some more seat time. If i can find that sweet spot and pull a low 1.9 it may even break a 8.6999999 Haha. Definately gave me some motivation to mod the old school beast. :-)

wow thats amazing that it went 8.4 only trapping 82mph. Usually you'd have to see a 1.7 60ft to make that possible but wow. Good freaking pass man!!!
