hmmmmm yeah i might know a little bit about a 6" rod 383...... cause i have one now....

Just my opinion, I would run the 6.125 rod with the CP bullet bc1025-030 piston kit. Strong 2618 forged piston kit that can hadle a good amount of nitrous, and comes with a nice ring pack. For your information Callies H beam rods weight difference between the 6" and 6.125" rods is about 5 grams. The shorter piston WILL make for a lighter bobweight.

The other question would be is there power to be had in going to a Honda rod journal size? Going down to the 1.88 journal should slow the bearing speed which should lead to some more longevity and reliability. Or am I off base on this too?

also keep in mind espically if you are spraying it that a 6.125 rod is going to put your wrist pin quite a ways up into the oil ring landing on that piston.....

With the 6.125 rod I'd be using a piston made for a 6" rod 383. If you can spray that and not worry, why worry about it on a little 355?
